Title: Study-Low back pain with Exercise and Laser Treatment Compared to Exercise Alone
Published:2007
Summary:A total of 61 patients with chronic low back pain for at least 12 weeks prior to the study were randomized into one of three groups. Group 1 received 12 sessions of laser therapy, 2 per week for 6 weeks; Group 2 received the same laser therapy as Group 1, but added an exercise program; and Group 3 received placebo laser therapy and an exercise program.
Conclusion:Laser therapy seemed to be an effective method of decreasing pain and reducing disability in chronic low back pain in combination with exercise compared with exercise alone.
